The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its fourth Community Expo Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kal Tire Place North.

“This event promises to offer North Okanagan residents an engaging opportunity to learn more about their community while enjoying a day filled with fun activities and valuable connections,” said Dan Proulx, Chamber general manager.

With over 90 booths featuring businesses, non-profits, and government entities, attendees will have the chance to explore a wide range of goods, services, and community programs.

“Whether you’re interested in discovering local products, learning about services available in the area, or getting involved with charitable initiatives, the Expo aims to showcase the best of what the North Okanagan has to offer.”

One of the highlights of the event is the opportunity to interact with various organizations, including the City of Vernon and District of Coldstream. Additionally, several employers will be on hand to provide information about career opportunities.

For families, there will be plenty of activities to keep kids entertained, including free face painting, planetarium shows by the Okanagan Science Centre, and displays featuring RCMP and Vernon Fire Rescue vehicles.

Food trucks will also be onsite.

Attendance is free, and many vendors will be offering giveaways.

“The Expo promises to be a vibrant celebration of community spirit and local pride,” said Proulx.
