The driver of a westbound tractor-trailer is lucky to have escaped with only minor injuries after two oncoming commercial vehicles collided on the Trans-Canada Highway.
The incident happened at the Pole Road intersection just west of Revelstoke at about 6 a.m. on Sept. 13.
An eastbound logging truck was turning right onto Pole Road when a westbound tractor-trailer struck the end of the logging truck’s load. The impact broke the driver’s side window of the westbound truck. The driver of that vehicle, a 52-year-old from Cache Creek, suffered minor abrasions and lacerations to his face.
The driver of the logging truck, a 57-year-old Chase resident, was not injured.
There were no charges laid in the incident.
