A G Jenkins

August 30, 2009

A G (Tony) Jenkins passed away peacefully in Langley, BC at 81 years. Survived by his wife Fran, son Chris, daughter Cathy, and his three grandchilren Ryan, Ciara and Kael. Dad was a loving and dedicated huband and father. Tony and Fran raised their two children in Revelstoke BC, and lived there for 30 years before retiring, in 1992, to Osoyoos. In Revelstoke Tony could be found opening his business at 6 am. Sundays in the winter he was up on the ski hill getting in the first run of the day on unmarked powder with Bill Cameron. With a quick wit and love of humour Tony loved life with his family and friends. In the summer Tony was always on the golf course. He loved tennis too. He enjoyed his wine and great music, art, and food, and loved to talk business and politics. Tony was a word smith and enjoyed history and the English language. He loved the mystery and workings of the natural world. Tony loved to drive his car, and was happy to head on out to Calgary or Vancouver, or Jackson Wyoming, in any kind of weather to a gallery with Fran. After retiring to Osoyoos Tony could be found having coffee with the boys in the morning, or out on the golf course, or having a glass local wine on the patio at home with Fran.

While living in Osoyoos Tony was diagnosed with Parkinsons. Tony and Fran moved to Langley in 2006 to be closer to their daughter and two grandchildren.
