Robert Edward (Bob) Webber passed away at Mt. Cartier Court, Revelstoke on Monday, August 15th, 2016 at the age of 84 years. He passed peacefully and in the loving presence of his devoted wife of 62 years, Nancy Webber, his two daughters Dianna Jones and Cathleen Busch, and granddaughter Elysia Sagert. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Revelstoke on Saturday, August 27th, at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Dan Meakes officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Department at Mt. Cartier Court, in memory of Bob.


Bob was born in Vancouver, B.C. on June 20, 1932 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1981. He will be well-remembered as the owner/operator of Alpine Lanes Bowling Alley for over 15 years. Bob enjoyed camping, playing softball and RV’ing, and, of course, bowling! He especially loved animals and had numerous dogs and cats over the years.


Bob was predeceased by his parents, sister Betty Kovacs and brother Dick Webber. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Nancy of Revelstoke; two daughters: Dianna Jones and Cathleen (Stephen) Busch, all of Revelstoke; nine grandchildren: Cameron (Angie) Murtagh, Elysia (Ryan) Sagert, Michael Jones, Jennifer (Shawn) Heard, Robert (Jessie) Busch, Darnell (Carrissa) Busch, Stuart (Mel) Busch, Marie Busch and Hannah Busch; seven great grandchildren and one on the way; two nieces Marie and Jill.


The family would like to thank Dr. Jarmula and all the wonderful care aides and nursing staff at Mount Cartier Court for treated Bob with respect and patience their kindness, not just for Bob, but for the family too. Thanks also to the Activities staff for providing enjoyment for Bob and other residents.
