Carole Nealy

1942 - 2017

On January 10th, 2017 Carole (Silvers) Nealy, our sweet little momma, passed away with all three of her daughters at her side. She was born in 1942 in Leroy, Illinois and raised in Coldwater, Michigan. Carole met David in Coldwater and the two then married in 1965. They moved to Angola, Indiana, had the girls and moved the family to Revelstoke, BC in 1974. After a solid run in Revelstoke, David and Carole moved to Courtenay, BC in 1988 to try their hand in the hospitality industry. The call of the wild then prompted the pair to journey to Ruth Lake (Caribou) in 1999, where they both happily lived in blissful retirement.

Carole and David were never afraid to live life fully, they were entrepeneurs in many different businesses and always ready for an adventure. Carole also had an artistic side and enjoyed painting, ceramics, floral arranging, sewing and sharing many crafts with the kids and grandkids. Her sense of humour and quick wit aided her through life; Carole was a hard working woman who was never bored and always ready for a card game.

Carole is survived by daughters Amy Nealy (Wayde Shrimpton), Karla Whitaker (Don Whitaker), and Cydney Nealy; grandchildren Hanna, Heidi, Peyton Whitaker and Jaycob Frank; brother Wayne Silvers; sister Beverly Granger and many nieces, nephews, cousins and beautiful friends. Carole is predeceased by her husband David, her parents Clarence and Mildred Silvers, as well as brothers Jerry and Reid Silvers. Carole will be missed so dearly by all.
