Mr. Clayton Harry Masur passed away peacefully at Pleasant Valley Manor on Sunday, November 29th at the age of 81 years. A Memorial Service was held at the Revelstoke United Church on Saturday, December 5, 2009. Reverend Ken Jones officiating.


Clayton was born in Melville, Saskatchewan on May 16, 1928 and had been a resident of Revelstoke, BC since 1988. He was predeceased by his loving wife Lois in April, 2008.


After graduating, Clayton spent five years in the Royal Canadian Navy. He then moved on to have a long and successful career with the Canadian Pacific Railway until retiring in 1986.


Clayton was a dedicated and honoured member of the Masons of British Columbia & Yukon and also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was an avid golfer, who along with his wife Lois, were long time members of the Revelstoke Golf Club.


Clayton is survived by his sisters, Margie Brown of Armstrong, Lil Eichinger of Armstrong, Gladys Knowles of Maple Ridge, Dorothy Moen of Melville, Sk., Ethel Nash of Victoria and Doris Smaha of Armstrong; brothers-in-law Peter Eichinger of Armstrong, Ken Millar of Comox and Jim Millar of Vancouver; sisters-in-law Agnes Masur of Melville, Sk., Isabelle Masur of Calgary, Mary Masur of Parksville and Julie Masur of Williams Lake. Clayton was also an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
