Mr. Jack Burling died suddenly at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Friday, October 30th, 2009 at the age of 62 years. A Funeral Service was held from the Chapel of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke on Friday afternoon, November 6th with family and friends presiding. Cremation followed the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Louise Burling, Box 1597, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Jack.
Jack was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 10, 1947 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1987. He enjoyed raising fish and birds. Jack also enjoyed doing puzzles and watching sports of all kinds. He especially loved kayaking, fishing and riding motorcycles.
Jack was predeceased by one brother, Brian. He is survived by his wife Louise of Revelstoke; six children: Dawn Burling of Revelstoke, Derek Burling (Barb Goldsbury) of Vernon, Robert Robertson of Revelstoke, Kim (Dave) Duthie of Revelstoke, Cheryl Robertson (Russ Hill) of Delta and Mike Robertson of Vancouver; eight grandchildren: Megan, Devric, Tyler, Thomas, Sara, Dave, Frank and Hayley; one brother Bill Burling of Winnipeg; one sister Debbie (Roger) Bernardin of Winnipeg and his great aunt Dorothy of Kelowna.
Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
