Mrs. Jean Davis passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Monday, July 6th, 2009 at the age of 76 years. There will be no formal funeral service by Jean’s own request. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Hospice Society, Box 3133, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Jean.
Jean was born in Arrowhead, B.C. on September 21, 1932 and had been lifelong resident of the Arrowhead, Beaton, Trout Lake and Revelstoke area. She loved fishing and travelling. Jean was an amazing cook and a great baker. She was very organized and had a positive spirit. Throughout her illness she remained positive and strong. She had many friends across the USA and they all visited her prior to her death.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, one sister Allison and one brother Bob Vigue. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Arthur of Revelstoke; four children: Louis (Pam) of Revelstoke, Sheryl (John) Hermansen of Revelstoke, Lorel Davis of Revelstoke and Darrell (Jennifer) Davis of Salmon Arm; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother Ed (Barb) Vigue of Revelstoke; sisters-in-law Karen Vigue and Judy Vigue, both of Revelstoke, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
