John David “Dave” Cox


Dave Cox passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009 at the age of 69 years. A Memorial Service was held at the Revelstoke Community Centre on Monday morning, November 2nd, with Reverend Dave Olson officiating. Cremation with interment of the cremated remains followed in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke.


Dave was born in Vancouver, B.C. on September 20, 1940 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for over 30 years. He was a well-known logger and spent many years in the logging industry in the area. Dave was a member of the Vintage Car Club, the Revelstoke Remote Control Club and a daily participate in the Tim Hortons Coffee Club. He had a great love for his family and they were all important to him.


Dave is survived by four children: Christopher (Courtney) Cox, Lee Cox, Neil Dean and Audre Dean; granddaughter Sydnie and five other grandchildren; one sister Diana (Stan) Burge of Alberta as well as numerous nieces, nephews and good friends.
