Manfred Weidlich

April 1, 2009

Weidlich, Manfred (Oct 4th, 1934 - April 1st, 2009) of Revelstoke, B.C., passed away due to illness at the age of 74 in Kelowna, B.C.

Manfred was born in Vechelade, Germany and to those that knew him and by his family was considered a true pioneer and an adventurous spirit. From his teenaged youth spent exploring post war Europe, to stowing away on a ship to Brazil and eventually joining the merchant navy in the Baltic sea, it was his sense of adventure that led him to immigrate to Canada in 1956. He continued his adventures

exploring Western Canada and enjoying logging, claim staking, gold mining and hunting. Eventually settling in Revelstoke, he raised a family with his late wife Gabriele and considered it his best adventure yet.

Manfred is survived by his two sons Kevin and Marlon, daughter in law Melissa and his loving grandchildren Nathan and Ava.

We wish him well on his next adventure.
