Mrs. Marie Howe passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Wednesday, June 24th, 2009 at the age of 60 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Revelstoke United Church on Thursday afternoon, July 2nd, at 2 p.m. with Mr. Gary Sulz officiating. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the B.C. Lung Association, 2675 Oak Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6H 2K2 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 1633 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 1P6, in memory of Marie.
Marie was born in Kelowna, B.C. on August 4, 1948 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1971. She enjoyed yard-saleing and playing Bingo. Marie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Marie was predeceased by her parents and her son-in-law Norman Brettermayer. She is survived by her husband John of Revelstoke; two children: Sue (Corey) Bourke of Revelstoke, J.J. Howe of Revelstoke; eight grandchildren: Samantha, Josh, Chad, Kyra, Aidan, Shaunine, William and Payton-Piper; brother Lyle (Diane) McKendry of Quesnel; two sisters: Rose (Al) Ross of Oyama and Lorna (Alvin) Bray of Edson, Alberta as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
