Mark Robson Weeden passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Thursday, September 29, 2016. He was taken from his friends and family far too soon after a 1½ year battle with cancer. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the B.C. Cancer Agency, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 5L3 or the B.C. Cancer Foundation, 150 – 686 Broadway, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 1G1, in memory of Mark.

Mark was born in Nakusp, B.C. on February 25, 1956 and was a resident of Revelstoke since 1962. Mark’s younger years found him with a passion for fast cars, and you would always see him washing and waxing his “babies.” Mark’s love for the outdoors stretched from his jobs in the logging industry to fishing, camping, mushroom picking, and any chance to be on the water or around a campfire.

Mark is survived by his wife Barb; his daughter Kristine (David) Holland, son Ryan (Jeslyn) Weeden; three grandchildren: Lauryn, Alissa and MacLaren; his mother Roberta “Bobbie” Chabot of Vernon, B.C.; brother Mike (Noreen) Weeden, sisters Laura Smith and Julie Yachetti.

Special thanks to all of Mark’s doctors this last 1½ years – Dr. Mostert, Dr. Jarmula, Dr. Gary Goplen, Dr. David Hoegler and Dr. Ed Hardy.

Messages of sympathy may be sent to Mark’s family by viewing his obituary at www.brandonbowersfuneralhome.com.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
