Mr. Michael Mervin Kindret died suddenly at his residence in Revelstoke, B.C. on Sunday, April 19th, 2009 at the age of 45 years. A Funeral Service was held at the Revelstoke Alliance Church on Saturday, April 25th with Pastor Lewis Hauer officiating. Pallbearers were Ed Jezersek, Joe Pylatuk, Lane Threatful, Sam Jones, Roland Poitras and Danny McKenzie. Honorary pallbearers were Steven Fediuk, Jonathon Ilkew, Kyle Ilkew and Bucky Wilkinson.


Cremation followed the service with interment of the cremated remains in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke on Sunday afternoon, April 26th. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Trust Fund set up at the Revelstoke Credit Union for Michael’s baby daughter Ella.


Michael was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on November 6, 1963 and had lived in Revelstoke from 1982 to 1986 and then lived in Vancouver and Kelowna prior to his moving back to Revelstoke in August of 1993. Michael was an avid outdoorsman who loved snowmobiling, fishing, downhill skiing, mountain biking and riding his quad. He also enjoyed working out at the gym and helping with the building of his new home. Michael was especially fond of his constant companion, his dog Cayanne.


Michael was predeceased by his mother Mary in 2005 and grandmother Baba Pearl Fediuk in 2001. He is survived by his wife Heidi of Revelstoke; daughter Ella of Revelstoke; four siblings: Lonnie of Edmonton, Veronica of Deep Cove, B.C., Brian (Melodie) of Revelstoke and Peter of Langley; nieces and nephews: Jonathon, Kyle, Kelsey and Alicia; father John of Dauphin, Manitoba as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.


Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
