Shirley Biatecki passed away Aug. 1, 2017 at Southland Hospice, Calgary, AB after a short battle with colon cancer. Shirley was born in Revelstoke in 1932 and lived most of her life there until moving to Vernon to live with her daughter Judy in 2011. Shirley then moved to Calgary with Judy in 2013 where she resided until her death.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Fred in 1990, her mother Annie Anderson in 1996 and her father, George Nichol in 1983.
She is survived by her three children; Judy (Jim) Silvester of Calgary, Bruce (Nancy) Biatecki of Penticton and Debbie (Wes) Barstad of Revelstoke, along with six grandchildren, Rob Silvester of Calgary, Alan (Michelle) Silvester of Ottawa, April (Ray) Manarrino of Wetaskewin, Brad Biatecki of Sparwood, Keith (Brittany) Frausel of Malakwa, Krista (Chance) Barstad of North Star AB and five great grandchildren, Evan & Linden Silvester, Kassy Mannarino, Natalia & Teegan Frausel.
She fondly remembered all the friends she had coffee with through the years.
At her request there will be no funeral service.
