Revelstoke opens Bantam hockey championships Monday morning

The Tier 4 Bantam provincial hockey championships kick off Monday morning with the Revelstoke team facing off again Mission at the Forum at 10:30 a.m.

The four-day tournament features teams from Mission, Whistler, Creston Valley, Vanderhoof, Clearwater and the home team, Revelstoke.

The official opening ceremonies take place Monday at 6:45 p.m., with Aza Deschamps singing O Canada and former NHLer Aaron Volpatti making the ceremonial puck drop.

After, Revelstoke will face Creston for their second of five round-robin games.

Revelstoke plays Vanderhoof on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m., Whistler on Wednesday at 7:15 pm.. and Clearwater on Thursday at 1 p.m.

The championship game is scheduled for Thursday, Mar. 23, at 7:30 p.m.

Revelstoke goes into the tournament as the Okanagan champions, having defeated Clearwater in the finals earlier this month.
