$600K spent locally as part of holiday promotion

At least $650,000 was spent locally as part of the Christmas Cash campaign, according to organizer Diane Bull.

The campaign was put together by Bull and her husband Steve, owners of Style Trend, along with their employee Lisa Hughes. They started after Revelstoke Printing dis-continued its Passport to Christmas promotion due to lack of interest, Diane said. “At first, we weren’t sure how many retailers we would get on board, or even if we would have enough to get it off the ground (as we needed to ensure we had enough retailers on board to cover all the costs!) but we ended up with 31 retailers in the end which was wonderful,” she wrote.

In total, she said, 3,250 Christmas Cash cards were entered into a draw, representing $650,000 in local sales.
