A new program is being launched by the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce that aims to elevate, connect, empower and mentor women.
The Women's Leadership Collective will look to build a network that champions female leadership and economic empowerment, with the collaboration of Maggie Spizzirri with Wild Breathwork.
Caroline Lachapelle, executive director of the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce, said the hope is this program will shape a supportive and inclusive environment where women can thrive and lead with confidence across all generations, from youth to retirees.
The first event for the program will be the Canadian Chamber of Commerce's 2024 Women in Business Summit Series, held in Revelstoke. The summit will feature three 90-minute sessions focused on boosting women’s representation in management, leadership and boardrooms while addressing compensation gaps.
“Held during Canada’s Gender Equality Week, the Women in Business Summit will offer insights from influential thought leaders, accomplished entrepreneurs, and business and chamber leaders from across Canada. This event provides a unique opportunity to expand professional networks and discover strategies to advance women in the business world,” said Lachapelle.
Taking place from Sept. 24 to 26, the summit will feature a managing partner in HR law, the CAO of the Pay Equality Commission of Ontario and the CEO of Women of Influence and the founder of Viewpoint Leadership.
“The Women's Leadership Collective is more than just a program; by uniting women from diverse backgrounds and experiences, we are creating a powerful network that not only lifts individuals but also enriches our entire community,” said Spizzirri, founder of Wild Breathwork.
For chamber members the cost of the summit will be $125 for the three sessions, including lunch and a certificate of participation, and for future chamber members the cost is $175.
