With October in the rearview mirror and November on the horizon, bears are just about ready for their winter nap.

Specifically, a sow and her two cubs who have been spotted around Revelstoke this fall making sure they are stocked up for hibernation. Most recently, the trio were spotted by the railway museum. 

Bears eat up to  20,000 calories every single day as they prepare to slumber. 

Revelstoke Bear Aware is asking residents to ensure their garbage is locked up indoors, in a shed or garage so that the mama bear seen around the city can teach her cubs good habits instead of bad.
