There are now two speed board signs at each end of the school zone on Nichol Rd. The second board went up last week in time for the start of ski season.
According to Arrow HeightsElementary Principal Todd Hicks, over the past two winters there have been three incidents where vehicles have slid out of control and into the snowbanks on the side of the road, where kids walk to and from school.
There have also been numerous occasions where he can tell from the tire tracks that cars have slid through the stop sign at Nichol and Park, or slid off the road turning onto Park from Nichol.
