One event in Kelowna raised more than $150,000 for Special Olympics Canada.

On Saturday, Sept. 23, Motionball heard their 10th annual Marathon of Sport in Kelowna, where participants played a variety of games throughout the day. All teams played flag football, ultimate frisbee, kickball, road hockey, kinball, and benchball.

At this year’s event, Motionball set the goal to raise $150,000 and broke it as the event brought in over $155,000 and counting.

The non-profit organization’s goal is to introduce and inspire the next generation of volunteers and donors to the Special Olympic movement.
