Rustic Reel Brewing's Raspberry Hibiscus Sour was named the best Fruit Beer in the province at the B.C. Beer Awards on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Rustic Reel Brewing has the best fruit beer in the province.

The Kelowna-based brewery took home some hardware from the B.C. Beer Awards on Oct. 19 as their Raspberry Hibiscus Sour won first place in the Best Fruit Beer category.

"We are rosy cheeked and giddy!" the brewery said in an Instagram post.

Rustic Reel's beer beat out Lilooet Brewing Company's Mountain Goat Apricot Sour and Smugglers' Trail Caskworks Scrumpers Blueberry Peach Sour.

In total, 65 different beers were submitted in the category.

"Thank you to all the breweries for submitting such amazing brews, and to the attendees for your support and energy throughout the event!" BC Beer Awards said on Instagram. "Let’s raise a glass to BC’s thriving craft beer community!"

Rustic Reel was the only Kelowna brewery to win an award this year.

"So what are you waiting for?! Come on in and try an Award Winning Beer," said Rustic Reel.
