Revelstoke Secondary School student Pearl Pratico was awarded the prestigious Cmolik Foundation scholarship for post-secondary education.
The Cmolik Foundation distributes scholarships to youth across B.C. who have overcome adversity for their post-secondary education. The foundation receives over 100 applications per year, making Pratico’s accomplishment even more impressive. The scholarship means that Pratico will earn $45,000 for the next stage of her education.
While the monetary portion of the scholarship is impressive, Pratico will also gain access to an extended community within the foundation with other recipients and alumni. Gaining resources and mentorship, Pratico will gain not just the financial help of the award, but also excellent opportunities to make invaluable connections.

“The award recognizes and honours Pratico’s hard work and commitment with this financial award,” said the Cmolik Foundation in a press release.
The foundation said it was impressed by Pratico’s application, including her academic goals. Pratico aspires to attend the University of Calgary where she aims to earn a Bachelor of Law and Society. Not wanting to stop at one degree, she hopes to continue her studies until she has earned a Law Degree, so that she can become an Immigration Lawyer.
