Glam metal band Steel Panther is hitting the road across Canada this fall and Penticton has been named as one of the stops.
The Los Angeles, Calif. group is known to not only bring the noise on stage but the laughs, too.
With its humorous — and at times profane — lyrics, the comedic glam-metal act is coming to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on Sept. 28, as part of the upcoming “On The Prowl World Tour.”
Since its inception in 2000, Steel Panther has five full-length studio records to its name.
But the already well-known band decided to shake things up earlier this year.
Those who keep up with NBC’s hit summertime show America’s Got Talent may have noticed that Steel Panther recently made a surprise entry into the competition’s race.
The band has since advanced to the next round, following some high praise from judge Simon Cowell during its audition.
“Everything about that audition for me was just brilliant,” Cowell said after Steel Panther impressed with a performance hit track Eyes Of A Panther.
Steel Panther has toured the world, appeared on countless prime-time television programs and has even achieved “platinum YouTube status,” according to a Monday morning press release from the SOEC complex.
Tickets for the band’s show in Penticton go on sale Friday, June 16, at 10 a.m.
More information about Steel Panther can be found on the band’s website.
