When Redeye Empire hits the stage Friday night at the Revelstoke Music Festival they’ll be playing to a crowd they’ve already won over numerous times in town.

The Revelstoke Music Festival returns this weekend, with 11 bands performing over the course of two nights as well as a battle-of-the-bands competition Saturday afternoon.

Teenanger plays with Needles//Pins at the Big Eddy Pub on Wednesday, June 22. Entrance is free and the show starts at 9 p.m.

The Grizzly Plaza Summer Street Festival kicks off on June 26 with local teen bands Caldera and Bon St. Jon kicking things off for the summer.

Revelstoke Timber Days takes place on Saturday, July 9 this year. The event follows the scaled-down format introduced last year that emphasized local participation, organizers say. The 2010 event included a birling pond for the first time and it proved wildly popular.

Juvie will be the final production at the RSS Drama studio before the move next year.
