Parks Canada and the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre have partnered to celebrate and support art in Revelstoke.

Together, they have launched the Art in the Park program which is a five-day artist residency in the Glacier National Park. Artists who participate in the residency get to stay in Glacier National Park, where they will experience the surrounding nature by hiking and the hope is that they will feel inspired to create.

The artists took in the Selkirk mountains by staying in bunkhouses at Rogers Pass National Historic Site and worked on their art during the month of July. Following the residency, artists will display their artwork at the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre's Public Art Gallery, and then have the opportunity to travel with their artwork throughout B.C., and Canada.

The artwork will be displayed at the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre from March 27 to April 27, 2025, and then galleries across the country are invited to exhibit the artwork from May 1, 2025-April 30, 2026.

The participating artists are:

-Abby Wilson, Nelson, B.C.

-Amanda Reber, Calgary, Alberta

-Daniel Stewart, Revelstoke, B.C.

-Kimberley McNeil, Calgary, Alberta
