Thanksgiving Back is returning to Revelstoke for another year of promoting volunteerism and regenerative tourism.

The campaign is organized by Tourism Revelstoke and strives to encourage visitors to Revelstoke to volunteer with various community projects in exchange for $400 that will go towards their accomodation. The campaign has become an annual tradition since 2021.

"We are immensely proud of this campaign, and have begun to see mirroring campaigns in other destinations," said Tourism Revelstoke in a press release.

During the weekends of Sept. 20-22 and Sept. 28-29, local non-profits will be organizing volunteer projects. Those visiting Revelstoke are invited to sign up for volunteer projects that have registered with Tourism Revelstoke.

For more information about the project, you can visit the project's website found here. For those interested in volunteering, folks will need to download the RE:BC Travel app. Alternatively, they can go to https://rebctravel.ca/thanksgiving-back-2024/ where they can register for a project.
