Skiers rejoice as snowfall warning in place for Revelstoke

Revelstokians can rejoice: the snow has arrived.

For those wondering if winter was coming, mother nature has responded. Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Tuesday, Jan. 9 as 5-15 cm of snow is expected throughout the day.

Drivers are cautioned to adjust their driving as visibility may be reduced with heavy snow.

Periods of snow and flurries will continue from Jan. 9-11, followed by sunnier weather but a temperature drop to -14°C on Jan. 12.
Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is reporting 27 cm of new snow, 30 cm of snow in the last 24 hours and 31 cm of new snow in the last 48 hours.
