Kiddies waiting eagerly for Locals Day March 23 to ski for $20 on Revelstoke Mountain Resort can prepare to bundle up for the hill even sooner and for just the cost of a gondola trip.
Children under 13 with a lift pass and an adult along for the ride will be able to tear it up on Mount Mackenzie at no extra cost from March 15 to April 21, Revelstoke Mountain Resort announced Thursday, Jan. 23.
To make the most of the 38 free-ski days, younglings and youngsters are encouraged to not just hit the vertical drop with their guardians, but walk the Cupcake Carpet and tour the Stellar, Ripper, and Stoke chairlifts that provide a range of accessibility and connect avid little skiers to green, blue and black runs.
"Whether your kids are taking their first turns on the Cupcake Carpet, progressing on the Stellar Chair, or enjoying the most vertical in North America from the top of the Stoke Chair, Revelstoke Mountain Resort promises memories that will last a lifetime," the resort said in its statement.
The announcement comes after the resort raised a total of $17,700 for the Revelstoke Community Foundation during its Dec. 15 and Jan. 12 Local Days, and as a fresh layer of snow hit the city Thursday morning.
