  • Feb. 22, 2012 9:00 a.m.

An avalanche has closed the Trans-Canada Highway between Revelstoke and Golden.

DrivBC reported the incident just before 6 a.m. Wednesday

The highway is also closed between Revelstoke and Craigellachie with an estimated opening time of 11 a.m.

DriveBC is currently forecasting a reopening at 4 p.m. today, with low confidence.

The closure follows two closures of the same stretch last night and early this morning due to MVIs.
