Update: Body found on Blind Bay beach ‘recently deceased male’

Police and coroner investigating, death deemed ‘non-suspicious’

RCMP have provided more information regarding a body that was found on the beach in Blind Bay Friday morning.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk of the South East District reports the body is that of a recently deceased man who appears to be in his 30s.

Reports from South Shuswap residents indicate someone walking their dog made the discovery early Friday morning near Blind Bay Road and Centennial Road. Moskaluk confirms Salmon Arm RCMP received the report about 7:30 a.m.

“The Salmon Arm RCMP and BC Coroners Service are continuing their investigation into the death of an adult male in the Blind Bay area,” Moskaluk said, adding that the man’s death is “non-suspicious.”

Blind Bay is about 30 kilometres northwest of Salmon Arm.
