The City of Revelstoke will look to continue the conversation on housing affordability in the community by hosting an event which will bring a number of representatives from other resort municipalities to interact with residents.

The Affordable Housing Summit will take place on Mar. 9 at the Revelstoke Community Centre. Marla Zucht, CEO of the Whistler Housing Authority, Tofino Mayor Dawn Law, Sun Peaks Mayor Al Raine, Sharon Oakley, Manager of Banff Housing Sustainability, and the Sicamous Housing Committee will join Sheena Wells of the Revelstoke Community Housing Society to hear how other local governments are addressing housing needs.

The event will kick off at 6 p.m. and run until approximately 9 p.m. and will be live-streamed online for community members who can’t attend in person.

Attendees, both online and in person, will be able to ask questions through the Slido app. Through the app, attendees will be able to pose questions to the moderator and vote on which questions they would like to be asked.
