UPDATE July 5:
What started as a two-vehicle crash quickly involved another vehicle outside of Armstrong Tuesday.
The collision took place on Highway 97A at the intersection of Powerhouse Road in Spallumcheen at approximately 12 p.m. July 4.
Police determined a vehicle travelling southbound on the highway was turning left onto Powerhouse Road and failed to yield for a vehicle travelling northbound on the highway.
“As a result of the collision, the vehicle turning left then collided with a third vehicle which was stopped waiting to make a right hand turn from Powerhouse Road onto the highway,” said Cpl. Tania Finn, Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media relations.
The drivers of the first two vehicles were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
The driver of the third vehicle was uninjured and the vehicle remained operable.
The driver of the first vehicle was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act with fail to yield to traffic.
