UPDATE (July 6, 3:25 p.m.):
BC Wildfire Service has said the fire is still measured at under a hectare and classified as out of control, but ground crews and a helicopter at the site fighting the fire.
Staff at the nearby Oyama Eco Lodge have said they’ve seen a helicopter going back and forth bucketing non-stop all day today as well as yesterday.
As of 3:25 p.m., staff at the lodge can no longer see visible flames from that fire.
UPDATE (July 6, 8:25 a.m.):
Lightning is suspected to be the cause of a fire that sparked near Oyama Lake on Monday (July 5), according to BC Wildfire Service.

ORIGINAL (July 5, 7:10 p.m.):
The BC Wildfire Service is reporting a fire east of Oyama.
The fire is located near the southern tip of Oyama Lake, southwest of the Oyama Lake Eco Lodge. As of 7:20 p.m. on Monday, July 5, the blaze was estimated at .01 hectares.
