A little rain could not stop people from coming together to celebrate the first day of Hanukkah in Kelowna.
Approximately 150 people gathered to enjoy treats, music and community as the first candle of a large menorah was lit on Dec. 7, in Kelowna’s Stuart Park.
Families came together to celebrate the first day of the 2023 Hanukkah season. The Jewish holiday is celebrated from Dec. 7 until Dec. 15, this year.
A new candle will be illuminated on each of the eight nights throughout of the holiday season.
