Revelstoke residents may have noticed some new signage in the downtown core recently, and according to the City, more is on the way.
The new downtown signs are the latest in the City of Revelsotke’s efforts to make it easier for tourists to find their way around town and to give all of Revelstoke’s signage a ‘cohesive look’ that reflects the town’s ‘brand and history’.
Tourists will now find signs with a map of downtown that points out where they are and different key attractions in Revelstoke.
The City of Revelstoke and Tourism Revelstoke consulted with Cygnus Design Group in the implementation of the new signs.
“We love how the new branding and the selection of materials and colours used for the signs brings alive the history of the railway station and creates a memorable experience for visitors,” said Ingrid Bron, Director of Community Economic Development, in a press release.
According to the City, the new signage is made possible by Resort Municipality Initiative funding through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport.
