Penticton’s Mamas For Mamas is looking for a new home after having to leave the Ooknakane Friendship Centre.
The centre has donated space to the local charity for the past two years and told them they can stay until June 30.
Mamas For Mamas started in Kelowna and after seeing the need in South Okanagan opened up a branch in Penticton.
The local Mamas For Mamas serves Penticton, Osoyoos, Grand Forks and all the way to Christina Lake.

Many low-income moms and child caregivers in the community have come to rely on this vital service, said Mamas For Mamas volunteers.
The group is now looking for a new donated location.
“Please reach out if you know of such a space or would like to donate an office to Mamas for Mamas. Please email us at penticton@mamasformamas.org for DM us,” they said in an Instagram post.
They are not taking used clothing donations at this time.
“Since we will no longer have a physical location for our Karma markets, they will now be hosted at markets in the community on a monthly basis,” said Mamas For Mamas.
“We look forward to continuing to serve our community while we are in this transition period and we will still be accepting diapers, wipes and birthday decor donations,” they said.
They are still available for emergency parcels of diapers, wipes, and formula. To access this service fill out an online support application at mamasformamas.org/application.
