The M.V. Columbia, the new Upper Arrow Lake ferry, went into service last week, taking its first passengers from Shelter Bay to Galena Bay. The $26.5 million ferry can carry 80 vehicles and 250 passengers and is said to be more fuel efficient and produces fewer emissions than its predecessor.
