PHOTOS: Revelstoke Secondary School celebrates graduation

The group made the walk to the school under a hot and bright sun

It was a hot sunny day with barely a cloud in the sky on Friday morning when the graduating Revelstoke Secondary School class made the walk from Grizzly Plaza to the school before walking across the stage one final time.

Revelstoke Secondary School hosted its grad ceremony on Friday, saying goodbye to the graduates of the 2023 class. The resilient young graduates braved the heat in their black caps and gowns. With smiles, laughter, and music the group marched to the school one last time.

The students finishing at RSS this year are special in a way that few other graduating classes can say they share. Having endured all the standard trials and tribulations that 12 long years of grade school always offers; this group faced the added challenge of doing some of their toughest years of learning through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some danced, some took selfies, and one even backflipped off stage, but every student worked hard for their moment on stage.

In a ceremony with no shortage of tears in front of proud family members, educators, and friends, students said goodbye to this chapter of their lives.

Goodluck class of 2023!
