Police look for witnesses, dashcam footage from Lake Country crash

A crash that involved eight vehicles and injured multiple people, on Highway 97 in Lake Country is still under investigation by RCMP.

Police are looking for witnesses and dash camera footage from Dec. 21, incident that occured at approximately 5:30 p.m.

All four lanes of Highway 97 were blocked for several hours due to the span of the debris field from this incident. According to Cpl. T.J Bowden, there were multiple injured people, with injury severity ranging from minor to serious, but none life-threatening.

“The investigation is early and ongoing, though speed appears to be a significant factor among potential causes,” said Cpl. Bowden.
