RCMP seek tips following two thefts

Revelstoke RCMP are asking for tips following two thefts that occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Jan. 27 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 28.

Revelstoke RCMP are asking for tips following two thefts that occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Jan. 27 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 28.

In the first incident, someone siphoned off about $250 worth of diesel from an excavator parked near the Trans-Canada water reservoir located next to Highway 1 above Clearview Heights. Construction crews and equipment are currently replacing the water tower.

In the second incident, someone stole two snowboards and a Pioneer car stereo faceplate from a vehicle in the 1000-block of First St. West. The first board was a black Solomon board with Nitro bindings. The second was a grey board with red Burton bindings.

There are no suspects in either incident.
