Revelstoke RCMP investigating overnight thefts

Four thefts from vehicles reported to Revelstoke RCMP.

Police are reminding residents and tourists to lock their vehicles after a rash of thefts overnight on Wednesday.

The Revelstoke RCMP received four complaints from locals and tourists who had personal belongings stolen from their vehicles sometime Wednesday night. Items stolen include clothing, bags, jerry cans of fuel, and electronics.

The thefts occurred near some hotels at the west end of Victoria Road and at a home on Eighth Street.

Police are investigating the thefts but no suspects have been located.

The RCMP is asking anyone who suspects their vehicle may have been entered to contact them at 250-837-5255.

They are also reminding people to lock the doors of their homes and vehicles and to keep valuables out of sight or well secured.
