News Brief

Revelstoke RCMP Commanding Officer Staff Sgt. Jacquie Olsen on June 28 announced to Revelstoke city council that the Sergeant position in Revelstoke had been filled.

Cpl. Kim Hall assumes the position in September and will be promoted to Sergeant.

Hall is originally from Manitoba and has served with the RCMP for 21 years, including many postings in B.C., including posts in the East Kootenay, Boundary and on the Coast.

Olsen noted Hall was a founding member of the B.C. Youth Police Network, a group that works to reduce youth crime.

Hall replaces Sgt. Art Kleinsmith, who retired in May after many years with the Revelstoke detachment.
