____

Highway 3 is closed between Hope and Princeton due to mud and rock on the road.

Debris came down just after 4 p.m. and blocked traffic in both directions near Mine Hill.

RCMP along with highway crews are on scene assessing the area. It’s unclear when the road will reopen at this time.

According to those on scene, a rockslide occurred near a hairpin.

Highway 1 is also closed west of Revelstoke due to a multi-vehicle collision. DriveBC has a scheduled update for 7 p.m. on that closure.
