Grab your sunglasses, Environment Canada is forecasting a UV index of 9.

And guess what? It looks like summer is coming early. Environment Canada is predicting it will stay sunny all week.

Sunshine is forecasted until next Saturday, with temperatures ranging from a high of 14 to 20 degrees.

The high in Revelstoke today is +14.

DriveBC is reporting fallen rock on the Trans-Canada Highway from Craigellachie to Revelstoke, and from Revelstoke to the east boundary of Glacier National Park.

The warning comes after a boulder the size of a car landed in the middle of Hwy. 1 at Three Valley Gap last week.

DriveBC is also reporting that there is construction 42km east of Revelstoke on Hwy. 1 and that the highway will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic.
