An avalanche closure is scheduled for the Trans-Canada Highway west of Revelstoke Thursday afternoon.
DriveBC is advising the highway will be closed through Three Valley Gap on Thursday, Feb. 5 from 3–5 p.m.
Further avalanche closures are expected as a series of weather systems passes over the Revelstoke area over the next few days.
Environment Canada is forecasting five centimetres of snow for today, before temperatures rise and the snow turns to rain. 10–15 millimetres of rain is forecast for tonight, with another 10-20 millimetres on Friday, and freezing levels rising to 1,600 metres.
