Update: Trans-Canada Highway re-opens from Revelstoke to Golden

The Trans-Canada Highway has re-opened from Revelstoke to Golden following an accident earlier Friday.

Traffic on the Trans-Canada Highway is backed up near Golden because of a crash.

The Trans-Canada Highway has re-opened from Revelstoke to Golden following an accident earlier today.

The highway was closed for more than three hours after a crash near Golden on Friday, Aug. 26, before noon PST.

DriveBC first reported the closure at 11:42 a.m. PST. and the highway re-opened at about 3 p.m. It is now warning of slow moving traffic from Golden to Glacier National Park.

The cause and result of the crash is not known.
