Canadian lynx at Big White.

VIDEO: Hey watch out for that lynx!

A Canadian lynx decided to go for a stroll on to a Big White ski run, nearly walking in to some skiers.

Skiers at Big White had a bit of a unique addition to a run yesterday.

A Canadian lynx decided to stroll out onto a Big White ski run near Black Forest yesterday and several skiers zipped right past it.

The video was captured by James Ngo and posted to Facebook.

It’s not the first lynx to be spotted at Big White this year as the animals have been seen at the ski hill recently as well as in different parts of the Okanagan.

“Saw one last week at Snowpines on Serwa,” said Doug Findlater.

Patrick Mark Mulligan identified it as a lynx.

“Even though lynx and bobcat look similar (same genus) they do have differences the lynx is bigger, longer tuffs, legs, paws and body. This beauty looks like a Canadian lynx. Bobcats are more compressed, with similar markings,” he said.
