Stella-Jones Inc. has published Forest Operations Map’s (FOM) #1583 for public review and comment. This FOM will be available for public viewing and commenting for 37 days from June 10 to July 17, 2024. The FOM covers planned operations in the Revelstoke TSA under FSP 730. Blocks and roads covered in this FOM are in the Begbie Forest Development Unit. These blocks are planned for Partial Cut to address the significant Douglas-fir Beetle infestation and reduce fire hazard in the Wildland Urban Interface area. Blocks are planned for Partial Harvest logging systems. Block C02028 overlaps recreational hiking and mountain biking trails. Stella-Jones will work in collaboration with the Recreation Officer and the Revelstoke Cycling Association.
