Albert (Bert) Lenny.

Born, February 8, 1912 in Hubbard Saskatchewan,

Passed away, August 5, 2008 in Cranbrook, BC.

Bert Lenny, with his wife, Shona and their three year old

daughter, Shirley, arrived in Revelstoke in 1950, from Prince Rupert, BC. Bert worked for the Department of Highways as the Mechanical Foreman until his retirement.

Bert and Shona built their own house on 3rd Street West in Revelstoke, where they lived until 2001 when they moved to Cranbrook to live with their daughter, Shirley and husband Ed Jerke. Shona passed away on December 13, 2006 in Cranbrook.

Bert was an excellent gardener and would share plants, shrubs and tree cuttings to anyone that admired his garden.

Bert is survived by his family, Shirley and Ed, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a very kind and generous man and is sadly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service for Bert was held on August 9, 2008 before internment next to Shona in the Cranbrook Columbarium.
