In Loving Memory ~

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear daughter and sister.

Aleesha Mae Kaler passed away on Wednesday August 7, 2024 in Revelstoke, BC at the age of 29 years. Aleesha was born on January 4, 1995 at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, BC to her proud parents, Randy and Tammy, and her best friend, her sister, Courtney.

Aleesha was a bright light in all of our lives and her passing has left massive holes in all of our hearts. She was the happiest young lady you could ever meet; despite the many challenges she faced on a daily basis.

Aleesha thoroughly enjoyed swimming, painting, colouring, going out for lunch, meeting her friends for coffee, playing bingo and UNO, and participating in bocce, bowling, and curling with Special Olympics. She loved making everyone around her laugh and she always had a special way of doing so.

Aleesha will be deeply missed by her parents, Randy and Tammy Kaler, sister Courtney (Cody), Grandma Linda Thacker, Uncle Buck (Wally) and Auntie Cathie, Auntie Dorothy and Uncle Terry, Uncle Dennis and Auntie Cara, Auntie Kelly and Uncle Steve, and Uncle Clint; cousins Keanan, Tyler, Brett, Melissa, Lexi, Marissa, Jonathyn, Caden, Coleton, Addilyn, Courtney, Emiley, Hannah, and their families.

Aleesha was predeceased by her Papa Clarence and Grandma Sylvia, Nana Audrey and Grandpa Ted, Auntie Marla, and numerous great aunts and uncles.

Aleesha's family would like to thank the many, many people who supported and cared for Aleesha over the years. Our long-time family friend and caregiver, Dihane; Selkirk Medical doctors and staff; Dr. Percy and staff; numerous staff at Pacific Coast Community Resources Inc; and the numerous administrators, teachers and education assistants at School District #19.

It takes a village to raise a child with special needs, and our family is forever grateful for our village.
